Environmental Stewardship

As our Mission Statement says, we wish to teach our students the importance of environmental sustainability and the urgency of protecting our wildlife.  In March 2009, Sunrise of Africa Schools children adopted "Ndii" a baby elephant from the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage in Nairobi . This was our first step towards our vision. Our next step is to have two wildlife clubs at our schools. Eventually, our schools will offer courses in ecotourism and resource management.

At our Sunrise Garden Grove Campus, our plan is to grow food to enable us to be partially sustainable and to teach modern agricultural methods.
